Bureau of Indian Standards must focus on sector-specific standards: Minister

Speaking at the World Standards Day 2025 celebrations organised by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bengaluru Branch Office, at the J.N. Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), on October 16, Union Minister of State for MSME and Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje commended BIS’s outreach through Standards Clubs and awareness programmes, describing them as crucial to nurturing a ‘quality-first’ culture across the country.
