Health dept. comes out with new referral protocol for hospitals

In a major exercise of over three years, the Health department has come out with a new referral and disease management protocol for hospitals under the Health Services and Medical Colleges, which clearly delineates how patients should be managed at various levels of care and the circumstances under which patients may be referred to higher level institutions.
