Worlds largest city: Jakarta, Indonesias capital, is currently the world's largest city, home to almost 42 million, followed by Dhaka with nearly 37 million and Tokyo with 33 million. The UNs "World Urbanization Prospects" report features Tokyo has grown slower in the last 25 years, resulting in its drop in ranking. The report also emphasizes megacity development, updated city definitions, and challenges such as inequality and housing in rapidly growing urban areas.
