Trump asks 9 colleges to commit to his political agenda, get favourable access to federal money

The White House has asked nine major U.S. universities, including MIT, Vanderbilt, and the University of Pennsylvania, to sign a “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education” committing to President Trump’s political priorities in exchange for preferential access to federal funding and White House events.
