Pema Wang Thongdok has hit back at online trolls after facing alleged harassment by Chinese authorities at Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport, using the incident to call for national unity. Thongdok, who was travelling from London to Japan with a transit stop in Shanghai on 21 November, said immigration officials refused to recognise her Indian passport because her birthplace was listed as Arunachal Pradesh. In a post on social media platform 'X', Thongdok thanked those who supported her and clarified that she does not engage with trolls.
