Avtar Singh Shahi has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF) Frontier Headquarters in Delhi. A decorated officer with over three decades of service, Shahi has previously served as IG of Special Ops BSF in Odisha and received the Presidents Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2025.
